Rihanna

On the way into work this morning I was listening to this album on my iPod and realised that for some unknown reason we’d not told you how utterly amazing it was. Now I know this album was released on November 12, 2010, but because it’s so awesome, I’m going to big it up anyway.

Everyone’s favourite Barbados beauty released her fifth studio album Loud in November, and I’d say it’s the best yet.

The opening track of the album certainly sets the standard for the rest. California King Bed talks about the space between a couple in the giant King sized bed, despite being a soft ballad the track is far from boring.

Rihanna seems to take her fans back to her roots in the track Man Down with a real Caribbean feel. While the popular Only Girl in the World and What’s My Name provide us with the Rihanna style we know and love.

Drink to That and S&M are both tracks from this album that would go down a treat in clubs, the kind of songs you can image shaking your booty too. My least favourite track has got to be Complicated, I’m just not sure about the backing and lyrics, they don’t seem to fit to me, but maybe that’s the point.

The album includes a follow up to Rihanna’s single with Eminem, Love the Way You Lie. Love The Way You Lie Part 2, contains the same chorus as its predecessor with different verses, including a final one from Eminem himself. Not as good as the original, but it’ll still get you dancing.

Throughout this album every track is different but just as enjoyable as the one before. There are certainly some catchy tunes on this album which will have you humming along after just one listen. This is definitely worth investing in.
