The Pussycat Dolls latest offering, Doll Domination, proves what the girls are one of the biggest girl groups around. Despite loosing Carmit earlier this year the girls are still going strong and have pulled off a fine offering of songs.
For the new album Pussycat Dolls have been working with an all-star cast of producers. As well as Rodney Jerkins, they have teamed up with Sean Garrett, Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Missy Elliot and Cee-Lo Green. Says Nicole; "There are songs on the album that people wouldn't expect from PCD - some smooth, slow jams, some alternative jams. We're really coming ferocious with the music this time out."
The album kicks off with current single When I Grow Up, a tongue in cheek look at our fame-obsessed culture. With a seriously fierce club beat courtesy of Rodney Jerkins, this one will have you dancing around your bedroom in no time.
I Hate This Part is a fantastic ballad which picks up the pace as it moves along. It has a great catchy chorus and is bound to be a future single release.
The girls slow down the tempo with a few more ballads such as Out Of This Club and Happily Never After but there's plenty of classic pop songs that we've come to expect from the dolls, such as Elevator, a stand out track on the album.
For all the jazz fans the album finishes with a sexy cover of Doris Day's Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps.
The girls are certainly back and it seems at their best yet!
