Okay, so I have never really been a fan of Joe McElderry since he first showed up on The X Factor last year, and I'm still not 100% sold, but since he's got a new single that is half decent and he hasn’t nicked off someone else, I thought I'd give him a small thumbs up.
Anyway, the video has just been released and I've got to say, the thumbs up is now back to a thumbs halfway point. Personally I thought he would have celebrated his first proper single, Ambitions, with a fancypants video, but no… instead he's settled for a remake of the Spice Girls' Stop promo.
I mean, from about 10 second in, you know the folk milling about in the street behind Joe are going to break into some form of dance and just dissolve any bit of street cred the actual single had built up with fans over the age of 16.
He is trying, I've got to give him that, but with such a strong single, he shouldn't have sold-out with such an overdone music video, in my opinion at least… please don't burn me at the Twitter stake.
