The Libertines set was possibly the most anticipated performance of the weekend considering it would be the first time Pete Doherty and Carl Barat were on stage together as BFF's in quite a while.
The crowd was thick and the roar from them as the band walked on stage as pretty deafening… for a moment I felt extremely humbled to be a part of such an epic reunion… until I remembered I don't really like indie music that much and only knew the words to the chorus of about three Libertines songs.
My buddies loved it though, swooning over Pete Doherty and admiring that he looks 'even fitter' since getting his band back on track… personally I think a good scrub and a haircut would have done the job just fine, but when he shared the mic with Carl I kept my mouth shut and smiled at the reunion that had made thousands of people here in Leeds very happy indeed.
