Owen admits that he has The Local Natives album, so is already pretty familiar with the song and points out that “There are five or six really strong songs on there [the album] and its somewhere between Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire and Fleet Foxes.
This single has really good vocal harmonies, though, and the instrumentation is well arranged, as well as having very, very good drums. on the whole it’s got to be said, this is quite intelligent music.
Whilst it doesn’t initially strike you as a party tune, we reckon you culd dance to it if it was played loudly enough, although you’d probably struggle. Give it a go though, just of the comedy value.
