Anathema
I had high hopes for Anathema, but they turned up with a set full of decent album songs which really didn’t translate very well into a festival setting.
To their credit, the songs were tight and perfectly performed, but didn't really draw much energy or real passion from either the band or the crowd.
Unless you’re a die hard Anathema fan I doubt you stuck around for long with this band, which is a shame as I imagine their albums would make a great listen, but it’s just not the kind of stuff that’s made for somewhere like Download.
