Is there ever a time when you just feel like you want to smash everything in front of you up? When people’s voices make you want to murder them and the slightest thing has you running for the nearest bottle of Blossom Hill?

Possibly not, but if any of the above ring slightly true, then maybe what you need to get in your life is a delicious CD designed to make that annoying little niggle in the back of your mind - lose weight / get some self-confidence / learn to say no / get my bloody life organised (you can delete as appropriate)

Okay, so I admit, it won’t kill that bitch at work for you, but it can certainly make you feel relaxed, tranquil and at peace with the world; and after all, being at peace with yourself, is far more effective than looks that could slice glass. Well, that’s what my mum tells me anyway!

So that’s how I ended up listening to The Ultimate Indulgence Album - Wellbeing - The Complete Relaxation Experience…. And fair enough, it didn’t have the same effect as eating a family size bar of Dairy Milk, plus a hefty handful of Pringles, but laid in a bath with some smelly oils and a couple of candles with this blasting out is possibly the closest I’m ever going to get to meditating….

Plus it makes you look like a real classy lady rather than one with chocolate smeared across her face and crumbs of the quickly divulged Pringles strewn across the couch. No that I ever do that: Obviously!

So with three CD’s; one for ‘Calm,’ another aimed at ‘Anti-Stress’ and the third targeting ‘Relaxation’, you have no excuse not to emerge fully revitalised, fresh faced and above all, content. But even better, if for some reason your skin is thicker than an old boot and you need a bulldozer to get to your ‘core’ then don’t worry, because there’s even a DVD of ’Classical Chill’ to feast your eyes on. Wonderful.

Many of the songs you can find on most ‘chillout’ records, with At The River - Groove Armada, The Piano and Any Other Name making an unsurprising appearance on the ‘Calm’ CD.

Whilst ‘Anti-Stress’ does in fact take on a more upbeat and happy mood and you cant help but smile and dance around a little bit; especially to one of my favourite songs Orinoco Flow, which has been successfully covered by Rachel Morrison for the album. If that wasn’t enough to tease any stress out of your pretty little bodies, we also have Ave Maria and the Dances With Wolves theme.

Finally, your last offering of ‘Relaxation’ is the biggie, with the the makes of the CD determined not to let your state of Wellbeing pass you by; and I have to admit, as dubious as I was abut the effects of the CD, by the time I got to the theme from Harry’s Game, Cavatina (from Deerhunter) and finally, the Blue Plant theme, I was feeling completely and utterly relaxed. And there wasn’t a crumb or wineglass in sight.

I think I’m cured.

Rating: For getting you really chilled out and calm - 5 / 5

Skip To: Orinoco Flow - just because it’s one of my favourite songs.
