She shaved her head bald, she snogged Madonna and she once got divorced after 55 hours of marriage. In fact, when you're Britney Spears it seems the controversies are endless. Several childbirths and emotional breakdowns later, the undisputed pop princess is still one of the most watched and sought after living things on the planet.
In a Katy Perry styled spree of carnality, the singer's new single If You See Amy incorporates a certain line of obscenity crassly disguised by a seemingly innocuous lyric. If you haven't worked it out yet, just listen to the song forgetting the title and you might begin to imagine what's angering parents of Britney's youngest fans so much.
Naughty innuendoes aside, If You See Amy is a fabulous nugget of everything great pop music stands for. An upbeat rhythm driven by raging club beats and synthesised chaos provides a sex-soaked backdrop to an outrageously catchy chorus. Quite possibly the best all-round tune we've heard from Britney since 2004's Toxic, it simply can't fail to set the dancefloors alight.
