The debut single of three-piece rock outfit BM LINX packs pounding drums, hard-edged guitars and a myriad of electronic gizmos to create a sound not a million miles from that of Kasabian, but a whole lot less conceited.
Merging the growling chaos of The Prodigy with the indie-pop glitz of The Killers, it seems they're going their own way with this.
At first there's a lot to take in; an irrepressible beat fights hard while layers of beefed up guitar and synth rumble overhead like a bad Monday morning.
There's actually nothing bad here at all though. The song would admittedly make a pretty poor impression if given the straight rock treatment, but the electronic orchestration lifts it to higher, more glamorous and engrossing ground.
If the band's forthcoming album, Black Entertainment, manages to deliver this level of excitement across eleven tracks, it's hard to imagine this year's dancefloors not bouncing and sweating to the ball-busting sound of BM LINX.
