I love it when a strong, female-fronted rock band comes onto the scene, there just aren’t enough of them in my eyes!

From the first time I hear singer Jenn on opening track Last Demand I can’t help but notice how similar she sounds to Joan Jett from the 10 Things I Hate About You track, I Want You. She has that gravel-tastic tone that most female vocalists would just die for.

The opening song is a wonderful example of classic rock, that sounds like it just walked straight off the Wayne’s World soundtrack; classic rock sounds with more guitar hooks than you could shake a rather long, metal stick at.

Desire is yet another great song which really shows off Jenn’s amazing vocals to the max. the track is energy driven and passionate, just what we’ve been waiting for for so long.

When you get to Learn To Speak there is no wonder Jenn has been compared to Janis Joplin, she has a voice that can belt out rock and roll tunes as well as carry a ‘pretty lady sing song.’

Midnight Til Morning has to be my favourite track on the six track EP, the bassline is to die for and the hi-hat keeps a delicious pace as Jenn ploughs her way through this beautiful song; a song which I am willing to bet becomes ‘our song’ for any soppy, leather-clad couples out there.

Preist’s And Preachers slams into you in all the right ways and is a well-deserved pick up after the earful of delights we encountered in Midnight Til Morning. Jenn is back on top form belting out lyric by lyric with expert precision. Before we close with Sacred Deep Inside which, at just short of six minutes and with a fairly mellow beat is the perfect comedown to this debut EP.

After supporting Meat Loaf’s daughter on her 2008 tour, Dear Superstar and The Quireboys; these guys have quite a dedicated following, and with their eyes on the lookout for a 2009 tour I think they have the potential to be Huge!

Remedy claim to want to rid the world of today’s totally “disposable” attitude towards music by injecting passion and though into their listeners. One things for sure; they have my vote, and I have a pretty loud voice… so no doubt everyone I know will be clamouring over each other to get this cd when it’s released on February 3.

Good work guys!

Rating: 4.5/5 - A good first effort, would like to have seen one more fast-paced track though.

Skip To:Midnight Til Morning - I’m all about a good song to sing to a boy… just need to find the boy now…
