Ever since I first heard In This Moment’s Forever a few weeks ago, I’ve thought they were one of the best female-fronted rock bands I’ve heard in months. So when their new album landed on my desk, I could hardly conceal my excitement.
Just what you’d expect from a blonde bombshell trying to hold back a group of four super hot men wielding all manner of electric instruments, Maria Brink does a bloody cracking job at delivering foxy, attitude-laiden lyrics with effortless precision.
The whole album is made up of nine complete songs - with three extra ‘bonus tracks’ if you’re special like me - and somehow, the band manage to deliver a whole new sound with each track.
There’s your regular rock tracks in the shape of All For You, You Always Believed and Violet Skies. whilst for you wanting something to sink your teeth into a little deeper, there are slightly heavier offerings from The Great Divide, Mechanical Love and Her Kiss.
Then there’s the totally enigmatic Into The Light - which turns out to be one of the most beautiful song’s I have ever heard in my entire life - Dying Star and The Dream. Plus, if that lot doesn’t leave you completely in love, the guys belt out a cover of the Blondie classic Call Me which even puts Diana Vickers to shame.
They’re currently swanning around the UK on the Give It A Name Introducing tour, so if you haven’t got a ticket, you need to rectify that, because these are going to be way to hot to look at without sunglasses before you know it.

Skip To:Into The Light - Doesn’t really sum up the band, but it’s just dreamy.
