Lil Jon

Lil Jon

Rapper, actor, producer, songwriter, musician and undisputed king of Crunk Lil Jon, joins forces with the UK’s very own chart-topping Prince of Grime Tinchy Stryder, for the March 15th release of his brand new single “Give It All You Got” through Universal Records.

An exuberant, larger than life character, rarely seen without his diamond encrusted pimp chalice in hand, Lil Jon has been one of the most charismatic  stars in the US hip hop world for the last decade, and is something of a figurehead for the Dirty South crunk movement that arose from the Atlanta area around the turn of the century.

He started out working for Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label, before making a name for himself as a producer with a knack for club remixes. Before long he formed his own group, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, who released several very successful albums. During this time he was also quickly establishing a real name for himself as one of the leading producer/remixers in  the game.

Some of the tracks to feature Lil Jon’s unique style were "Salt Shaker" (Ying Yang Twins), "Goodies" (Ciara), and "Yeah!" (Usher) to name but a few.  Such was his ubiquity that comedian Dave Chappelle memorably satirized him on his award-winning “The Chappelle Show”.

In 2004, he released the album “Crunk Juice”, featuring the track "Friends & Lovers," which featured Usher and Ludacris, and gave him his biggest hit single, reaching the Top Three of the Billboard 100. Following this success he continued to produce hits for others including T.I., Amerie, and Pitbull.
