In today’s daily rap, Dre announced the long-awaited follow-up to his 2001 album, Bounty Killa is denied bail, and former Mo Thugs rapper Willie Lyons is wanted by police.

Dr Dre’s Detox Album Out this Year

Dr Dre has promised fans he will deliver his long-awaited Detox album by the end of the year - more than a decade after his last release.

The rap icon has been working on the follow up to 1999's 2001 on and off for years, but revealed last October that he was unhappy with the tracks and was heading back into the studio to re-record the songs.

Dre further disappointed devotees earlier this year when he confessed it was unlikely the project would hit music retailers until 2011. He told the March (10) issue of Slam magazine, "Well, I'm working on it (Detox), but also I've been working on other people's projects; you'll probably hear something in a year or so."

But the Forgot About Dre star now reveals the album is almost complete and the first single from the disc, the newly-recorded Jay-Z collaboration Under Pressure, is expected to be released later this month.

He tells FemaleFirst; "Yes, hopefully we'll be releasing (Under Pressure) in the next two weeks or so. And I'm definitely gonna be putting the album out this year. Finally, you know, and I think everybody is gonna be happy with it. That's it right now. I'm just trying to finish this record, finally get it done, get it out and start promoting it."

Bounty Killa Denied Bail

A Jamaican judge has ordered reggae star Bounty Killa to remain behind bars until his trial on charges of assault next week.

Killa, real name Rodney Price, was arrested on Monday amid allegations he attacked his girlfriend during an altercation at his home in Kingston. Reports suggest the incident took place when she tried to break up with him.

The troubled star was arraigned in court on Wednesday and his request for bail was denied after the court heard he had allegedly threatened his partner via phone while he was in custody.

Bounty Killa is also facing prosecution on previous charges of drug possession, illegal firearms possession and unlawful wounding and assault, according to the Associated Press.

Rapper Wanted By Police

Former Mo Thugs rapper Willie Lyons is wanted by police in Cleveland, Ohio after allegedly missing his child support payments.

Lyons, an ex-affiliate of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, is accused of owing the mother of his child $22,000.

Authorities have been unable to track him down after discovering his last known address was vacant and have now issued a warrant for his arrest.

Lyons, also known as Souljah Boy, previously hit headlines when he accused 19-year-old Atlanta, Georgia rap sensation Soulja Boy (Tell 'Em) of stealing his moniker following the release of his smash hit single Crank That (Soulja Boy).
