Knight's Legal Battle With West Dismissed
Hip-hop mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight has lost his long running legal battle with Kanye West over a shooting at a Florida nightclub in 2005.
Knight sued the Stronger hitmaker over allegations he was shot in the leg during a robbery at a party hosted by the star in Miami Beach five years ago.
He claimed West was responsible for the incident because he should have increased security at the venue to stop a gun being smuggled in, and demanded more than $1 million (£666,000) in damages.
A judge in Miami threw out the lawsuit on Thursday (04Nov10) after concluding there was not enough evidence to prove the shooting could have been prevented.
Lil Wayne Honours Huddy 6
Lil Wayne has paid tribute to his rapper pal Huddy 6, who was killed in a car crash while the Lollipop hitmaker was behind bars.
The hip-hop star was released from New York's Rikers Island jail on Thursday morning (04Nov10) and taken to a safe house, where he was reunited with loved ones.
But his first day of freedom was tinged with sadness - because he couldn't celebrate with Huddy 6, who was involved in a fatal traffic accident in October (10).
Lil Wayne took a moment to reach out to fans on Twitter.com and to honour his friend, real name Andre Hudson.
In a post on the site, Lil Wayne writes, "Aaaaaaahhhhhhmmmmm baaaaakkkkkkkkkk (I'm back). With the family... perfekto (sic)... R.I.P. Huddy6... Harlem stand up!"
