T.I. weds Tiny all over again in star-studded Miami ceremony
Rap superstar T.I. celebrated his nuptials with new wife Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle with a second wedding off the coast of Miami, Florida on Saturday (31Jul10), a day after exchanging vows in a courthouse ceremony.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., made his nine-year relationship with Cottle official on Friday (30Jul10) with a low-key event at a Miami Beach court.
But the formal procedure was just the start of an elaborate three-day wedding celebration - the couple married again in a more traditional ceremony on Star Island on Saturday, in front of a star-studded crowd with guests including pals Usher, Nelly, Ashanti, Bow Wow and Cottle's best friend, Antonia 'Toya' Carter - the ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne.
It means a lot to me to give back to the fans that support my music, and as long as I can remember music and Converse have gone hand in hand
Former Xscape singer Cottle walked down the aisle in a white Valentino gown, while the groom donned a custom-made Prada tuxedo.
The newlyweds continued their big party by returning to their native Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday afternoon for a lavish reception, before jetting off to Las Vegas, according to UsMagazine.com.
T.I. and Cottle weren't the only hip-hop stars to exchange vows this weekend - parents-to-be Alicia Keys and producer Swizz Beatz tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Corsica, France on Saturday (31Jul10).
Big Boi designs for Converse
Rapper Big Boi can add footwear designer to his resume after teaming up with Converse to release a limited edition shoe to promote his new album.
Fans of the OutKast star can now show their support for his music on their soles - the special run of Chuck Taylor All-Stars is emblazoned with the title of his latest solo project, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, on the sides of the shoe.
And Big Boi is flattered to have been offered the chance to collaborate with Converse.
He says, "Everyone knows the Converse All-Star logo and I was honoured when they approached me to create a design in celebration of my album release.
"It means a lot to me to give back to the fans that support my music, and as long as I can remember music and Converse have gone hand in hand, so partnering up with them was a no-brainer."
Keys and Beatz wed
Parents-to-be Alicia Keys and rap producer Swizz Beatz have married in a ceremony in Corsica, France.
The No One hitmaker, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, walked down the aisle on Saturday (31Jul10) in front of family, friends and A-list stars including U2 rocker Bono and Queen Latifah.
Keys looked radiant in a flowing white gown and headband, while the groom wore a white tuxedo jacket, pink shirt and bow tie for their big day.
The nuptials on the Mediterranean island proved to be a relaxed affair - Keys showed off her baby bump in a bikini while enjoying a dip in the pool before exchanging vows.
The singer announced her pregnancy and engagement to Beatz in May (10) and their baby is due later this year (10).
