Mz Bratt
Hailing from East London and at the tender age of 17, Mz Bratt is already an inspirational figure to many in the world of UK Urban/Dance music and TV having
emerged from the current UK Urban scene as the lone female role model within a male dominated arena.
Her exceptional talent struck renowned award-winning urban producer Terror Danjah (Kano, Sway, Chipmunk, Shola Ama) who took her under his wing after hearing her at local MC battles and seeing her huge Myspace following. Mz Bratt was also selected to be part of the T4 entertainment show 'Music-Cool', where she even reduced guest judge Jamelia to tears with her exceptional talent and vocal ability.
Having already embarked on a huge US and European tour with Shoreditch cool guys 'The Count and Sinden' as well as featuring on remixes and records with artists including Wiley, Tinchy Stryder and Taio Cruz - it is clear this lady will go far over the next 12 months.
Pound Sterling
A young rapper with undeniable talent who takes scenarios from his gritty reality and turns them into razor sharp lyrics and underground anthems. Known more for his flamboyant nature and lavish spending Pound Sterling is the epitome of a London Hustler.
Originally planning to remain behind the scenes in the music industry and manoeuvre as a businessman rather than an artist, Pound Sterling set up his own studio and record label with two of his long time friends, but he soon began to feel that most rappers were frauds and were rapping about lifestyles they knew nothing about and things they had never experienced.
After being in and out of ’the scene’ for the past five years, and due to popular demand, Pound returned to the scene in July 2009 unleashing "FRESH" taken from his latest mixtape "THE WARM UP".
The following and support remains as strong as ever and Pound Sterling returns into position as a UK premier artist, with a promise of big things for 2010.
Chris Brown
All eyes are on Chris Brown as he seeks to further reinforce his meteoric ascension to greatness with the release of his third album Graffiti. Brown’s latest effort will mark a departure from the more traditional aspects of urban music as demonstrated in the smash hit single I Can Transform Ya.
Much like how his idols Prince, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder experimented with new styles of expression and made genre defining music in the process; Graffiti is poised to be THE classic album we will be talking about for years to come.
Alicia Keys
Currently in the U.K. promoting her latest single Doesn’t Mean Anything and raising her European profile even further, Alicia Keys is getting ready to discover The Element Of Freedom which is also the title of her upcoming album.
Described by The Sun as an “epic anthem”, this track in our opinion is one of the best songs she has ever composed and will surely propel Alicia even further into the musical stratosphere.
The Clipse
The Neptunes endorsed Clipse return with their third album in March 2010 on the back of their critically acclaimed sophomore album Hell Hath No Fury.
The new album Til The Casket Drops is for the Hip Hop purist and has been described by the band as ‘Hip Hop on steroids‘. This upcoming third effort will bolster their status as one of the most credible rap projects in the U.S.
Three 6 Mafia
Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia return with their 10th album Laws Of Power in March 2010. This follows their critically acclaimed Top 5 billboard album Last 2 Walk. The first single to be taken from this album is the much hyped Feel It which features DJ Tiesto, Sean Kingston and Flo Rida.
