New Mobb Deep Album
Fans of the famous Queensbridge duo Mobb Deep will be pleased to know that there will be an album in the works as soon as Prodigy is released from prison according to havoc, who spoke with MTV on the subject last week.
The album will be released on the G Unit imprint which the collective have been signed too since 2005 despite there being various rumors that they, like Lloyd Banks, had been dropped from the label.
Prodigy who is currently serving three and a half years behind bars for gun charges is expected to be home some time next year if he maintains good behaviour.
Snoop Concert brings Loss for Students
A concert which featured Snoop Dogg at a Canadian University brought a huge financial deficit for the schools Student Body after just over one third of the concert tickets were sold, according to AllHipHop.com.
The Memorial University at St. Johns paid out over $300,000 to have Snoop perform but due to another concert taking place around the same time, organizers found that ticket sales were not as easy to sell as expected.
Diddy Jumps Aboard the Interscope Express
Sean Combs has opted to release his next studio album, The Last Train to Paris through Interscope as opposed to Atlantic Records and WMG.
The music mogul’s Bad Boy roster will remain at Atlantic/WMG but his own solo ventures will now be affiliated with the Interscope brand, the home of Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani.
The release of The Last Train to Paris has been held up while Diddy wanted Jay Z and Drake to have the markets full attention but the fifth studio album from the Bad Boy founder is now slated for a November 24th release.
