Phew! What a weekend?! MTV’s VA show was disrupted last night in NYC, two cops are helping enquiries about Rihanna photo leak, the Hip-Hop community sends prayers for established Detroit manager and Lil Wayne becomes a father again.

VMA’s Need Tighter Security

After two outlandish stage invasions last night by Kanye West and Lil Mama, MTV ought to step up their security at such events is the consensus of industry insiders and the general public.

The show last night in NYC saw Kanye West once again, put himself into a negative light after he interrupted country singing star Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech when she received the VMA for Best Female Video. Upset by the winner Kanye grabbed the mic of the 19 year old and told the audience and millions of viewers watching at home that Beyonce should have won the award having ‘the best video ever.” A horrified Swift looked on.

But Kanye wasn’t the only artist to disrupt the awards as New Jersey rapstress Lil Mama casually strolled on stage during the highly anticipated performance from Jay Z and Alicia Keys who performed Empire State of Mind. Jay Z showed his annoyance by turning his back on the pint size artist and continuing with his song.

Winners this year included Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Britney Spears, TI and Eminem.

LAPD Under Fire

Two LAPD cops are being investigated for the leak of the Rihanna photograph taken by the police after her attack by Chris Brown back in February this year.

Rebecca Reyes and Bianca Lopez who share a house together were given paid leave after their home was searched.

According to TMZ who acquired the photograph the value of the picture was $62,500 and it quickly spread around the world once it became available.

The gossip site also explained when the photograph which showed the pop princess battered and bruised, it had come from someone extremely close to the source.

Detroit Manager

It broke on Twitter early this morning that Hex Murda, a big part of the Detroit Hip-Hop scene and manger of Elzhi (Slum Village), producer Black Milk and of rapper Guilty Simpson was hospitalized.

There has been no definite explanation as to why the acclaimed manager has been hospitalized but he is said to be in a serious condition.

Hex who has been prevalent in the music industry since the late 80’s has been recognized by both the industry and the media as one of the driving forces behind the Detroit Hip-Hop scene which has birthed the likes of Eminem, J Dilla, D12 and Slum Village. Lauren London gives Birth

Actress Lauren London, famed for her role as Nu-Nu in TI’s movie ATL has given birth to a son. Lennox Samuel Ari Carter, the first child for London and the third for rapper Lil Wayne was born on Saturday night.

Lil Wayne was said to be present for the birth. Lil Wayne is also expecting a fourth child with former R&B singer Nivea.
