After his untimely death in late June various members of the entertainment world have talked about just how influential Michael Jackson was during his lifetime; respected film director Spike Lee has decided to go one better and pay homage to the King of Pop with a ‘public celebration.’
The event which will take place in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn will take place on Saturday August 29th where people will come together to enjoy the life, music and legacy of the entertainer.
Bodyguard Charged
While holidaying on the Croatian coast trouble escalated for music’s super couple Jay Z and Beyonce when an altercation developed between a bodyguard for the couple and paparazzi who had gathered to snap the happy couple as they walked through the streets of Dubrovnik back to their luxury yacht.
It is alleged that the bodyguard who was hired by the couple for the trip threw various pieces of photography equipment into the water after a heated discussion with the pap. No comments have been made by the Carter camp.
Memphis Bleek to Release New Project
Former Rocafella recording artist and long time friend of Jay Z, Memphis Bleek will be releasing his debut album on Mass Appeal Records in late November.
The Process will however see the rapper and his long time co-hort reunite as Jay Z takes on the executive producer role on the album.
As the first album from rapper since his 534 project which was released in 2005, the new project features No ID, Just Blaze, Pharrell and Rick Ross.
Bobby Brown in More Hot Water
A Massachusetts court has issued a warrant for the arrest of singer Bobby Brown who has fallen behind on his child support payments for his two teenage daughters with Kim Ward.
Brown who was married to Whitney Houston is alleged to owe Ms Ward over $45,000 and will be arrested the next time he visits Mass after missing yet a court date this week.
