Q Tip’s Industry Rules

With three decades immersed in the music industry, Q Tip has joined forces with Ballantine Books to educate and explain to fans and advocates of the music business some of the experiences he has gone through during his career.

"It was important to me to write a book because on the whole, I feel we could all be more literate, and as an artist, I’m always looking for ways to do something cool, different, and both light and introspective at the same time,” Q-Tip said.

The book, the first from the A Tribe Called Quest front man will be available next year.

Eminem to play Boxer

Already with a role in the new Adam Sandler movie coming this Summer, there is a possibility that Eminem will appear alongside Mark Wahlberg in a movie about two brothers.

The role in the movie about boxing was originally to be filled by Oscar winner Matt Damon however in a recent interview mark Wahlberg said Damon ‘hadn’t been feeling it’ and hoped that Slim Shady might step into the empty spot.

Eminem is currently working on the follow up to his platinum selling album Relapse which was released in May this year, his first in over four years.

Kelis Looking for her Money

The estranged wife of rapper Nas, has been back to court to file papers stating the actual figures she has received from the Queensbridge rapper since they filed for divorce in April this year.

Kelis, who is pregnant with the couples first son, has spoke about the lack of support she has had. Papers filed show that the Milkshake singer has received a check for $350 and gift cards amounting to the sum of $2500 over a three month period.

Nas had agreed to pay $5,000 a month to support his as of yet unborn child after Kelis had requested four times that amount to cover nannies, nurses and baby items.

Three 6 Mafia Secure Cooking Show

DJ Paul and Juicy J, the Oscar winning rap collective more commonly known as Three 6 Mafia will be gracing TV again, only this time in their own cookery show.

The duo will hold a dinner party and cook for a variety of guests each week, showing off their culinary skills as well as providing good entertainment.

TV is nothing new to the Tennessee duo who after winning their Academy Award in 2005 went on to star in their own reality show Adventures in Hollyhood which only lasted one season on MTV.

Cookin Ain’t Easy which is directed by Adam Briles is currently being shopped to networks.
