Reclusive R&B star D'angelo has pleaded not guilty to allegedly soliciting an undercover police officer for sex.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, real name Michael Archer, was arrested in New York on Saturday morning, after reportedly mistaking the undercover cop for a prostitute, and offering her $40 (£25) for oral sex.
The 36 year old has pleaded not guilty and plans to fight the charge. In a statement, the singer says he hopes the public will "allow the American justice system to resolve the matter before jumping to any conclusions."
