In today’s Daily Rap we see Jay-Z and Alicia Keys topping the US charts, and Puff Daddy wants to star in 30 Rock.
JAY-Z & KEYS RULE THE U.S. POP CHARTS
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys celebrated Thanksgiving Day in America on top of the pop charts after scoring a second week at number one.
The couple's Empire State of Mind held onto the Billboard Hot 100's top spot, keeping Lady GaGa's Bad Romance from number one - her latest hit jumped up nine spots to two.
Former number ones from Owl City and Jason DeRulo both slip a spot to numbers three and four, respectively, on the new countdown.
And it's a good week for John Mayer - after debuting his new album, Battle Studies, at the top of the album charts on Wednesday, the singer/songwriter's duet with Taylor Swift is the Hot 100's top debut - they're Half of My Heart enters the countdown at 25.
DIDDY WANTS ROLE ON 30 ROCK
Rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is eager to test his comedy credentials with a cameo role on hit U.S. TV series 30 Rock.
The hip-hop star loves the Tina Fey-created show and has become pals with 30 Rock funnymen Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer, and he's been lobbying the stars for a guest spot on the programme.
McBrayer says, "He is a big fan of 30 Rock and he's like, 'Can I be in the show?' and I was like, 'What if we played best friends?'"
Combs has previously showed off his acting skills with roles in 2008 TV movie A Raisin in the Sun, based on the play by Lorraine Hansberry, and a two-episode stint on TV crime drama CSI: Miami earlier this year.
