50 Cent is delving deep into his past to research his family's history as slaves for a new TV documentary.
The In Da Club hitmaker, real name Curtis Jackson, will travel to America's Deep South to meet with distant relatives to research his lineage for the VH1 show, titled 50's Roots.
It's not the hip-hop star's first venture into reality TV - he also teamed up with VH1 bosses for 2008's 50 Cent: The Money and The Power, but the Apprentice-style programme was scrapped after just one season.
