From the doldrums of South London comes an uplifting Anglo-Americana sound sure to melt hearts this cold winter season...
Finn Bonel writes songs from the depths of his rustic soul and permeates them with a unique and authentic vocal. In a modern day pop world of glitz and glamour, Finn’s primary concern is to block out the dazzle and wrench the hearts of listeners as he pours his own raw emotion into heartfelt lyrics and entrancing melodies.
His debut single 'Love’s The Only Thing', is released exclusively on iTunes for one week only from 13th February - just in time for Valentine’s Day - and will be available at all other digital retailers from 20th February.
The track muses the paradoxical frivolities and complexities of love, and sets Finn apart as an endearing and sincere commentator.
With his shy yet intense demeanor, Finn’s songs have the inherent human touch that more and more modern day music fans crave, they are un-hyped, un-sparkly, un-contrived and timeless.
Growing up in an artistic household, Finn was introduced to music by his father - a musician, poet and playwright.
Finn's music gives a nod to the sounds of Dylan, Waits, Springsteen, Vega and Cohen which constantly bellowed through Finn’s childhood home.
They clearly left their mark in his repertoire, yet Finn also evokes the spirit of the classic British R&B era of the 60s with musical salutes to the likes of Cream and Procol Harum.
Modern day comparisons might be drawn from the concentrated tones of Ryan Adams, Midlake, Ben Howard, Loney Dear or perhaps even the uplifting projections of Bon Iver.
Finn says: "the poeticness of those American songs really struck me, I want to purvey that same emotive energy. I’m all about the songs, striving to make beautiful music that really moves people, it comes from a deep place within."
