Meet The Ultra Girls. Four sassy, fun loving girls with tonnes of attitude! Get ready to be taken on a rollercoaster ride with the infectiously catchy debut single ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ – out 18th April 2011.

The Ultra Girls are Lucy (21), Laura (23), Amy (27) and Lauren (22). The girls originally formed when they met cheerleading for Leeds Rhino rugby club. At the time, Lauren was studying to be a dancer, Laura was working at her parents’ fish and chips restaurant, Amy was running a business called ‘Strawberry Split’ - representing dancers, and Lucy was a hairdresser at Toni and Guy.

After dancing for the Leeds Rhinos for a number of years, the girls decided to try their hand at forming a group. Their first experience was an appearance on X Factor in 2009 where they reached Louis Walsh’s boot camp stage of the show (he selected Jedward to go on to the final). Despite not making it through, the girls realised that they had found a passion for performing live and so consciously decided to disappear for 2 years to develop their own sound and image. The Ultra Girls are now ready for big things.

The Queen of Pop herself, Kylie Minogue has chosen the four-piece to head out on the road with her on the Aphrodite – Les Folies 2011 tour throughout March and April. The Ultra Girls are the first tour support for Kylie for over seven years so this is an honour for the group. Said Kylie, “I’m looking forward to meeting the girls and to see their show as I love what they’re doing!”

The Ultra Girls are working with some of the finest people in the business Including executive producer Steve Anderson (Kylie, Westlife, Britney), stylist Kenny Ho (Spice Girls & Girls Aloud), songwriter and musical director Sarah deCourcy (Christophe Willem, Kylie & Mel C), choreographers Aaron Sillis (Kylie & Cheryl Cole) and Tony Testa (Lady Gaga, Britney, Kylie, and Michael Jackson).
