Following on from the massive success of their debut single, âIf This Is Loveâ, The Saturdays release their new single and debut album this October.
The storming new single âUpâ is released on October 13th through Fascination records. Once again The Saturdays deliver an addictive pop anthem with a chorus that explodes.
âUpâ is taken from The Saturdays debut album âChasing Lightsâ released on October 20th. As well as the top ten single âIf This Is Loveâ the album includes a wide range of sounds and styles. From the electro-tinged âKeep Herâ to the epic ballad âFallâ and the club jam âWork Workâ, itâs an album packed with songs you can dance to, fall in love to and help you through the dreary autumn.
âWe knew we wanted there to be a mix of sounds on our record as soon as we started recording,â says Vanessa. There are five of us in the group that are into different styles of music and we wanted that to be reflected on the album. There was no way we could do an album where every song sounded the same.â
The Saturdayâs winning formula has already found fans in the press with Sunday Times Culture declaring them âfantastic, stroppy discoâ while Popjustice hailed them as âvery excellentâ and Perez Hilton bloggedâpure pop heaven⦠our latest obsessionâ
Una Healy, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Frankie Sandford are the five girls that make up The Saturdays. They have spent the past year working on their debut album in London and Norway with producers who have been behind the likes of Rihanna and The Pussycat Dolls. Now with the album complete, theyâre ready to bring some fun and glamour back to the charts.
âHow would we describe The Saturdayâs sound? Itâs pop,â says Frankie. âWeâre not trying to do anything else. Weâre a pop group and proud of it.â
