Mancunian five-piece Swiss Lips release their debut single ‘Danz’ on 25th June 2012 and have confirmed more live shows for over the summer.
An exquisite dance/pop/electro collaboration ‘Danz’ has also been remixed by The Horrors/ Jimmy Edgar and autoKratz taking it into different places and spaces.
Things started moving at the end of 2011 when the band posted a video online for new track ‘U Got The Power’ which enthralled and intrigued equally.
A beat-box celebration of the high-tops and high-times of electro pop brought up to date with infectious beats and unforgettable hooks.
Debate started as to who exactly they were, no gigs were scheduled, no pics online, but there was no secrecy, it was just everything was happening so quickly.
Radio 1 picked up on it and started playing the song on daytime shows, the NME said 'Think Foster The People with the stylish pop-perfection poise of Franz;.
The band signed to Epic/Sony and were despatched to the studio to get cracking on with their album.
Shows were booked and they played their first ever live show in London at the end of March. No timid appearance for them, the band burst onto the stage with the confidence of old-timers, confident because they have the hits.
More dates followed and ‘Danz’ was an instant live favourite, a thrilling three minute romp of a pop song with an equally surreal video to accompany it now available.
