In between a riotous summer of festival appearances, which includes the Secret Garden Party as well as two dates at Wireless, Sohodolls release classic new single Right & Right Again on August 20, before their debut album, Ribbed Music For A Numb Generation, is finally unleashed on September 3. "The song's about territorial pissings, suggests dainty vocalist Maya. The dawn of a new breed, a new generation who's here to take everything. And you're either with us or against us. We played a few gigs at Carl Barat's clubnight Dirty Pretty Things, she continues. But the club was swarming with those Primrose Hill groupies who have proved themselves rather fertile in the company of male rockstars. "The groupies took an immediate dislike to Sohodolls cos we didn't brown-nose them like a lot of other kids did. Well, this song is about Sohodolls taking centre stage, changing the rules of engagement our own act of war! It's a territorial pissing. Take no hostages. Fire in all directions. You all deserve it.The band have just finished recording their debut album, Ribbed Music For A Numb Generation, due to be released September 3, with producers Robert Harder (Whitey, Polar Bear, Babyshambles, The Sunshine Underground) and Steve Lyon (Depeche Mode, The Cure).
