Since the release of his No.1 selling debut album and huge UK success, Shayne Ward has gone global. His eponymous album topped the charts at No.1 in no less than nine countries globally, selling in excess of two million records worldwide.During the past year Shayne has not only emulated his UK success in some of the biggest markets around the world but he has also been creating a new record and new sound. He returns this September with a brand new record, ‘No U Hang Up’ and ‘If That’s OK With You’, a double A-side single, which will be the first release from his eagerly awaited second album due out in November.Shayne has been working with some of the biggest names in the business to make a record that he can call his own; he has put his stamp on the new music to create a sound that is not only individual but also sexier and edgy. ‘No U Hang Up’ is a laid-back cool RnB groove and ‘If That’s OK With You’ is a feel good, uptempo pop-reggae track combined, they provide the perfect soundtrack to the summer.
In recent months Shayne has been working with a superstar team of producers, directors and choreographers to develop his exciting new sound and image.
The new album was recorded in LA and Sweden with superstar producer Max Martin (Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson and Pink).
Directing the video for ‘If That’s OK With You’ is the legendary Wayne Isham (Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Will Smith and Ricky Martin) and photography comes courtesy of creative genius Max Vadukal (Rolling Stone, Vogue, Armani, Express).
It’s the start of a new journey for Shayne, in the time since winning the X-Factor he has matured as an individual and an artist, this special double A-side is just the start of what is to come.
