Hailed by UK press, tastemaker DJs and bloggers worldwide, as one of the tunes of 2007, epic trance pop number ‘With Every Heartbeat’ is sure to make an impact when it’s released on August 6th. A true goose bumps and shivers record, this stunning single is set to make your heart beat a lot faster this summer. It’s a weeping, sad break-up ballad full of regret. It’s also one of the most euphoric dance-pop tracks that you’ll hear all year, complete with a beautiful string breakdown and fuzzed out keyboards. Aged 16, Robyn had an international hit (and a UK top 10) with the Max Martin penned ‘Show Me Love’ which spawned a multimillion-selling major label album. When Robyn returned to the UK last autumn, it was on very different terms. Having bought herself out of her BMG deal, the brilliantly quirky Rakamonie EP came out on her own label Konichiwa Records. Limited to just a 1000 copies it soon flew off the shelves. Robyn’s eponymous album followed in spring to huge critical acclaim. NME called it “the most inventive pop album of the year” and she also earned comparisons with Madonna, Timbaland, Kylie and Janet Jackson.

Now fiercely independent, Robyn is standing out as one of the few current pop stars who’re releasing commercial pop music in a distinctly un-commercial fashion.

But being involved in every aspect of her career hasn’t deterred her from making what is quintessentially a classic pop album.

You’ll find the sad-eyed-Robyn on the heartbreaking ‘Be Mine!’, the super-strong-battery-Robyn on last single ‘Konichiwa Bitches’ and the nuclear-powered-pop-Robyn on the Knife produced ‘Who’s That Girl.’

‘With Every Heartbeat’ is backed by remix package, which includes a rare appearance from Pete Tong. Further mixes come courtesy of Steve Angello, Kenson, Hugg and Pepp, Punks Jump Up, and it also contains a remix from collaborator Kleerup himself.

After a string of packed out London shows (at yOyO, Hoxton Bar & Grill, Metro & Cargo) Robyn returns to the UK to play London Dingwalls on 14th June. She is also confirmed for both Wireless and Bestival, with more festivals to be announced soon.
