After his first solo top 10 hit ‘Stay Too Long’ at the head of the year, Plan B’s follow up single ‘She Said’ is released on March 22 and precedes his sophomore album ‘The Defamation of Strickland Banks’ (April 12).
His incredible second album takes in the sound of Motown, Stax and Northern soul, filtered through the grit of contemporary East London. "She Said' has the soulful shuffle of classic late night Northern soul with Ben's crooning falsetto offset by his interjection his streetwise lyrics. Its the sound of the Blackpool Mecca reinvented for Rinse FM and works brilliantly.
The switchblade sharp soul sound of the album is perfectly recreated on stage complete with a brilliant sharp-suited band and backing singers. After a dazzling Sold-Out performance at the West End’s Café De Paris last month, Ben will be taking his show on tour in April.
