I Want That is the second single from Psappâs new album, The Camelâs Back, and will be available via digital download on 30th March 2009.
This ode to instant gratification is about wanting something so badly it feels like your heart might burst and you have to have it regardless of the consequences⦠Combining their trademark wonky keyboards with squawking sax solos, Galia Durantâs surreal imagery and Carim Clasmannâs syncopated guitar wizardry makes it a perfect album opener, paving the way for a very exciting record indeed.
Parent album The Camelâs Back so far has received an enthusiastic reception from the Psapp faithful. It also led to live sessions with Mark Radcliffe and Radio 4âs Loose Ends (where they got to see Clive Anderson dance, but just a bit).
Psapp are currently rehearsing for shows in typically obtuse locations, including Bucharest and Singapore. They will be also be playing at Cargo on the 11th of March with support from Sam and The Plants. Pop along and say hello.
I Want That will be available via digital download and will feature an accompanying animation directed by the band and long time collaborator, Hauke Hilberg combining Psappâs distinctive illustrations with a host of loutish marionettes.
