Following the release of their debut album Celeste in July, My Tiger My Timing return just in time for fireworks on November 5th with their new single Let Me Go, a joyous ode to the art of the break-up, with the band's trademark shimmering guitar lines and lush melodies underpinned by the big, bouncy dancehall swagger of their native south east London.
The band has been steadily gathering friends and fans across the music world, featuring as The Observer's One to Watch in June, with previous single Endless Summer making it onto the BBC 6 Music playlist and Celeste being highlighted as the station's Album of the Day in July.
The band are proof that independent British music can still thrive, and they take a truly DIY approach to everything they do, self-producing their records and releasing on their own Snakes & Ladders label.
My Tiger My Timing make music which transcends scenes and trends - this is not about chasing the wave, this is about classic songwriting in the tradition of the great pop bands (comparisons have included the likes of Happy Mondays, St Etienne, New Order and Talking Heads), and the quotes speak for themselves.
