From thousands of hopefuls 25 Year Old Lee Mead, is the winner of BBC’s Any Dream Will Do and released his debut single in aid of Children In Need this week. Last year, the BBC One audience and Andrew Lloyd Webber solved a problem like Maria and this year once again have crowned Lee, Joseph from thousands of hopefuls up and down the country.The former unknown Singer/Actor will now play the lead in the stage show of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which opens at the Adelphi theatre on July 17th.Upon hearing the result Lee, said “I’m over the moon, I just can’t believe it! I’ve worked so hard, but the real hard work has just begun”The single was recorded at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios and produced by Nigel Wright who has worked with the likes of Madonna and Take That. A performance of Close Any Door, the final song of the BBC show which involves a Joseph contestant leaving, will also be on the CD.

Lee, will also perform the song at the Concert For Diana on July 1st at the brand new Wembley Stadium.

Proceeds of the CD will go to Children In Need, which this year is aiming to beat the £32 million raised at the last event.

Any Dream Will Do is released on 18 June.
