Ke$ha returns with ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ the latest single to be pulled from her debut album 'Animal' on 7th June on Kemosabe Entertainment/Columbia Records.
This year's biggest breakout female artist globally, Ke$ha has topped charts all over the world, including a record breaking 9 weeks atop the US chart. Along the way she has clocked up sales in excess of 12 million tracks, and over a million copies of ‘Animal’ since the release of her debut single 'TiK ToK' just 7 months ago, and is also the biggest selling debut international female artist in the UK this year with ‘TiK ToK’ selling in excess of half a million copies, and with the album certified at gold here.
The video for 'Your Love Is My Drug' was shot out in the plains of the Californian desert recently; early online teasers have revealed elephants, tiger masks, neon paint, snakes and of course a bearded man. It's a spectacular and suitable accompaniment to one of the summer’s most addictive and catchy pop songs - a grand electro fuelled frenetic and wonderfully crazy love song that is uniquely and definitively Ke$ha.
Following on from where 'TiK ToK' and 'Blah Blah Blah' left off, ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ is currently exploding at US radio and continues to grow rapidly week on week and has already been added early to radio playlists here in the UK by Capital & Galaxy. Ke$ha is also currently featured on Taio Cruz’ top ten single ‘Dirty Picture’
Ke$ha begins a summer of live activity this weekend in New Jersey, at the Bamboozle festival, that will see her tour US arenas as special guest to Rihanna throughout July & August, appear on this years Lilith Fair touring festival bill and in the UK, Ke$ha has also confirmed appearances at both Radio 1's Big Weekend event on May 23rd in Bangor and at Capital Radio's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on June 6th.
