Katy Perry - Thinking Of You
Virgin Records releases Katy Perry's new single 'Thinking Of You' on March 9th. The third single from her debut album (One Of The Boys), 'Thinking Of You' is ballad written solely by Katy Perry about loss and love.
Katy marked her entrance last summer with the anthem "I Kissed A Girl" which instantly established her as the brightest new pop artist to emerge in 2008. Some may have questioned whether Katy Perry could follow up that success but with her recent hit single "Hot n Cold" she proved without a doubt that she is no one hit wonder.†To date it has spent 13 weeks in the UK Top 10.
All three songs come from her outstanding debut album 'One Of The Boys', a sharp and witty pop-rock gem filled with candid tales of neurotic ex-boyfriends, crazy road trips with friends and figuring out who you are along the way. The album has now officially gone Platinum (300,000 sales) in the UK.
Last year Katy made such a powerful impression on MTV that they duly invited her to host 2008s illustrious MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool. She treated everyone to a colourful and flamboyant performance and won the award for "Best New Act" to boot. More recently, Katy has been nominated for 'Best Female Pop Vocal Performance' at the prestigious 2009 Grammy's.
