Karima Francis’s beautiful new single ‘Wherever I Go’ is enjoying great airplay across the UK after being added straight on the B list at Radio 2 as well as a host of other radio stations across the UK.
And her extraordinary new album, ‘The Remedy’ is to follow shortly, set for release on Mercury Records this summer.
This follows on from Karima’s debut album ‘The Author’ which was released in 2009. Characteristically, she doesn’t shy away from discussing the eating disorder that took her away from music.
But she is equally forthright in stressing that ‘The Remedy’ represents not just recovery, but renewal - because the album is a document about her return to what she knows, and loves, best: music, singing, lyrics that burrow beneath the skin and lodge in the heart, melodies that are equally impossible to dislodge.
The lead track from the album will be the beautiful ‘ Wherever I Go’ followed by the James Morrison tinged ‘ Glory Days’. Legendary producer Flood (U2, Depeche, The Killers) produced the album, and it was mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Paulo Nutini, Amy Winehouse).
'There was a reason I took a break but I’m back now.' The Remedy’ - in every note and every word. You’d better believe it too.
