Jack Johnson, the Hawaiian-based singer-songwriter returns with an all-new single called If I Had Eyes.This is taken from his next studio album titled Sleep Through The Static, which is set for UK release on February 4 2008.The new CD was recorded this summer at the solar-powered Plastic Plant in Los Angeles, and the Mango Tree in Jack's native Hawaii.He co-produced Sleep Through The Static with JP Plunier, who was responsible for the production of his debut album Brushfire Fairytales.Jack Johnson’s In Between Dreams has now sold over 1,360,000 copies in the UK and his total worldwide sales are over 15 million.Britain especially has taken to Jack in a big way. When he first ventured over the water in May 2005 his low-key shows in Shepherd’s Bush and Cornwall sold out in just nine minutes.

When he returned to the UK in February 2006, he played sold-out arena shows and performed at the BRIT Awards - his UK TV debut - alongside Gorillaz, Coldplay and Kanye West. That night he went on to win the award for International Breakthrough Act.

Jack lists his musical influences as Nick Drake, The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, Radiohead, Neil Young and Bob Marley.

In the two years since In Between Dreams came out, Jack has been spending time with his family, and focusing on the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, which he started with his wife, that focuses on recycling programs and education in Hawaii's schools.

He has also released the soundtrack to the animated film Curious George and contributed covers of John Lennon's "Imagine" to Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur and a medley of Bob Dylan's "Mama, You've Been On My Mind/A Fraction Of Last Thoughts On Woody Guthrie" to the soundtrack to the Dylan biopic I'm Not There.
