Geraldine McQueen is being tipped for chart topping success this week following her win on fictitious pop reality talent show Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice. The Winners Song, rush released yesterday by Polydor Records, is expected to catapult into the top three tomorrow according to industry pundits.

The Winners Song has been released due to phenomenal popular demand and in the wake of Channel 4 audience figures of over 6.9 million – the highest they’ve had since the 2007 Big Brother final. Geraldine’s win also caused a frenzy of buying at ASDA yesterday with shoppers clamouring to get their hands on The Winners Song.

A stunned Simon Cowell has not yet commented on unconfirmed reports that his mum has bought five copies for various members of the Cowell family.

The final of Britain’s Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice was a tightly fought contest between finalists R Wayne, 2 Up 2 Down and Geraldine McQueen, judged closely by Pete Waterman, Neil Fox and Nicki Chapman, but in the end there could only be one winner.

The show aired on Channel 4 at 8pm on Sunday October 12th.

As well as the song, the DVD single of The Winners Song also includes Geraldine’s first ever promo video featuring a stunning performance cut with a montage of her best bits from the show. The video got a world exclusive first play on GMTV on Monday.
