Dirty Diegos
Straight from the cult Channel 4 programme Hollyoaks comes Chester’s finest, the Dirty Diegos. A band with a difference – they already have over a million fans that tune in every weeknight to catch up on what they’ve been up to.
Hailing from the Chester suburbs, the Dirty Diegos are made up of Josh Ashworth on lead guitar, Michaela McQueen on lead vocals, Sasha Valentine on keyboards and Amy Barnes on drums.
The band first started out as the Baby Diegos with Amy as the lead vocalist but after giving birth to Leah, she stepped down as front woman. At times Rhys Ashworth and Gilly Roach have stepped in and played with the Diegos but now the foursome have hit the big time and scored a record deal the line-up looks set to stick.
The Diegos came to the attention of record company execs when Josh reformed the band to play a Battle of the Bands competition at Bumper in Liverpool. After nearly not making it on stage, the band pull it together to perform their track 'Play' on stage.
The Dirty Diegos are set to release their storming electro pop track Play on 23rd November and will perform it ‘live’ that week to a Hollyoaks audience of over one million.
