Ben Montague - Another Hard Fall
Following the release of his debut single ‘Love Like Stars’ Ben Montague gets ready to release his epic new single ‘Another Hard Fall’ on August 26th through Nusic Sounds/EMI.
Written by Ben & Jim Duguid (Alex Clare /Paolo Nutini) Ben say’s "This song has to be one of my favourites on the album and the one that is most significant to me. It was the first song I wrote and the one that shaped the sound of the rest of album."
The new single is taken from the Ben’s debut album ‘Tales Of Flying And Falling’ which is due for release later this year.
Ben has spent the past two years writing and recording the album at Rockfield with producer Dave Eringa, who has worked with the likes of the Manic Street Preachers. It has a very pop rock influence but also has quite an acoustic singer/songwriter sound. "He is a rock guy and I write pop songs, we met in the middle" says Ben.
He’s also picked up some celebrity fans along the way ranging from the likes of Emeli Sandé to Lawson. The former tweeted him saying how beautiful his cover of Heaven for The Sun Biz sessions was. The Lawson boys were on tour with Ben when they both supported The Wanted on their arena tour.
The last few months have seen Ben perform on his first UK tour. This has included a gig at St Pancras station as part of the Station Sessions season.
His performance even mesmerised one group of people watching into missing their train to Paris! "I love every second of touring as you can get everyone so involved in singing along and being apart of the show," says Ben.
"You give different performances to different crowds. The fans reaction and playing live has to be one of the best things about making music."
