Amy grimehouse is returning to london (@ 229 the venue) on friday 20th may to celebrate two of hollywood’s most flamboyant starlets and famous rivals, joan crawford and bette davis. Taking its inspiration from movie theatres of the 1920s this unique film event provides an exciting blend of trash cinema spiced with live stage performance.
The ‘whatever happened to mommie dearest’ movie double bill will begin with the psychological thriller ‘whatever happened to baby jane’ starring joan crawford and bette davis and be followed by the film based on joan crawford’s own best selling memoirs ‘mommie dearest’ starring faye dunaway.
Amy grimehouse will add their own blend of miscreant performance to the proceedings and guests will be entertained by live burlesque from princess knickers (as baby jane hudson) and holestar (as joan crawford). Those that are game will be invited to dress up and join in the fun!
