Infectious female-fronted powerpop quartet release their spanking new single ‘South Of The Water’, on 21st May through all good digital platforms.
Pooling from a wide array of influences and spanning from the energy and dexterity of Blink182 and Amberlin, through to the pop textures of Jessie J and Pink, Actions! are without doubt a fresh and vibrant take on great British Rock.
With a tight and solid rhythm section, driving guitars, and soaring luscious vocals, Actions! set loose their own brand of honest rock-pop nationwide this Spring.
Hailing from the South coast, the foursome were formed at the foot of 2011. However, despite their relatively short time together as Actions!, the band have an established history.
Mat (Bass) and Ryan (Lead Guitar) have created music together since Year 9 in school. Since 2008, the dynamic duo have played alongside beat thumper, Moz, who jammed with the guys in their previous band (Moz actually moved from Bristol to live next door to Ryan in Exeter, just to kick out tunes!).
Finally Emily (vocals) added the remaining piece to the Actions! puzzle last year, helping to solidify the band’s sound and hone their direction.
After rigorous rehearsals, Actions! soon realised that they had the songs, the sound, and the lasting dedication to take their music to great heights.
A series of successful shows in Southern plains followed and the enterprising four-piece kicked on and began to rack up impressive supports slots with the likes of Inme, Skindred, Paige, and Not Advised.
At the turn of the year, the hotly-tipped combo hit the studio to lay down tracks for their impending debut single ‘South Of The Water’. With well-regarded producer, John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, YMA6, The Blackout, Architects, FFAF, Lower Than Atlantis) at the mixing desk, Actions! pulled down their shimmering rock-pop infectious tuneage to tape and have served up an impressive debut that portrays their energy and infectious guile to dazzling effect.
