Rox

Aged 21 and already a rising star, massively talented South Londoner Rox will release her debut album ‘Memoirs’ on Rough Trade on June 7th.

A stream of sold out shows are testament to the ever building excitement that surrounds her, whilst current single “My Baby Left Me” has enjoyed A-list playlist support from Radio 2 where it was made record of the week and 1xtra where it remains on heavy rotation.

The 2nd single from the album ‘I Don’t Believe’ will feel familiar to many who will have heard it in the recent, hugely successful Rimmel advert.

At 5 years of age, Roxanne Tataei began singing in the Church’s of South London and spent most of her school holidays touring with The National Youth Theatre. Even then it was clear that Rox was destined for big things and this year will be the culmination of a lifetime of burning passion and hard work.

Rox explains what it was like working on her new album with Al Shux, friend and co-writer of Jay - Z’s ode to New York, Empire State of Mind:

“Shux was able to bring an entirely different approach to the recording process. He has amazing sensibility and helped me to truly bring life to my songs.”

Rox has already amassed a handful of significant live dates and now a string of summer UK festivals lay in wait as well as her own headline show at London’s Scala on June 17th.
