Today Niki & The Dove unveil the first track from their first ever mixtape titled Hot Summer. After many requests for a mixtape this year the band finally set to creating something exciting combining new material and alternative takes on tracks taken from their forthcoming debut.
On Wednesday a second track will arrive that takes the shape of 'Tomorrow' with the full length mixtape arriving shortly after.
‘Instincts’ is set to be a landmark album. It’s a musical world of the bands’ own making. Spellbinding, it shows a band in complete control.
Thrilling synth surges meet pop hooks, each track packed full of emotional weight. It’s a heavyweight pop record, one with a pure vision made up of very individual elements to create something wholly unique.
Niki & The Dove started the year in style, coming in at number 5 on the prestigious BBC Sound Poll, building on the fantastic support they’ve had over the past 12 months from Radio 1 from Annie Mac, and Huw Stephens, where the band’s latest single ‘DJ, Ease My Mind’ has been added to the B list.
At the same time, they’ve appeared in the NME, Guardian Guide, The Observer, Sunday Times Culture and more. In recent months they’ve sold-out Cargo and supported Hurts on their UK tour.
Niki & the Dove have just announced their most extensive UK headline show so far, including two dates supporting Miike Snow.
