Matt Corby
Atlantic Records are proud to introduce musician and songwriter Matt Corby, a unique, passionate and bright young artist, whose EP ‘Into The Flame’ will be released on 12 November on Atlantic Records.
If there is a song that captures not only Corby’s extraordinary voice, but also all of the determination and struggle that has led him to pursue a career in music, it is surely lead track ‘Brother’; a union of wolf-howls, falsetto, and pure guttural, heart-torn yearning.
'When that song that came out it was this feeling of if this doesn’t work I don’t know what will,' Corby says.
The song went on to be voted 3rd on Australia’s annual Hottest 100 chart of the year’s best songs (just behind Gotye and The Black Keys) with the EP going 5x Platinum in his native Australia.
His headline UK tour was announced last month with the Scala show selling out in under a day and Hackney Round Chapel selling out in just one week - proving that he really is one of the most exciting young talents who is set to break through in 2013.
