The wait is finally over as multi-talented Mariah Carey’s eagerly anticipated brand new album; ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ will be hitting the shelves on 16 November. Described as one of the strongest statements of her career, this stunning new album will be released by Mercury records on 16 November and follows her critically acclaimed album “E=MC²”, and worldwide 10 million selling “The Emancipation of Mimi.”  

Multi-Grammy winner Mariah has collaborated with both The-Dream and Tricky Stewart to write and produce the entire album with just one exception.  The album ‘Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel’ features 2 disks; Disk 1 contains 17 tracks combining a mixture of instantly memorable wistful ballads with ‘H.A.T.E U and Candy Bling, the up tempo catchy ‘Standing O’ and the no nonsense ‘Up out of my face’ to name but a few. Disk 2 features exclusive remixes of the hit single, ‘Obsessed.’

The first single from the album, ‘Obsessed,’ has been receiving rave reviews.  Scenes from the accompanying music video, directed by renowned filmmaker Brett Ratner in which Mariah plays her glamorous self and her stalker, caused a sensation across the globe.

A powerful rendition of the beautiful Foreigner’s classic, “I want to know what love is” will be the second single, which will be out on 26 October, and is currently receiving radio play.

Mariah has sold over 200 million records worldwide so far making her the most successful female artist of all time with 18 #1 Hot 100 hits, surpassing Elvis Presley.  Mariah is now the only active recording artist in the 50 year history of the Billboard Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles’ all-time high of 20 #1 hits.

‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’ will be released on Mercury Records on the 5th October, the release will feature 17 tracks and exclusive remixes of Mariah’s hit single ‘Obsessed. The entire album was written and produced by Mariah Carey, The –Dream and Tricky Stewart, with the exception of ‘I want to know what love is.’
