Elton John releases Rocket Man - The Definitive Hits in single CD format on 26th March 2007. This will feature 18 tracks including Tiny Dancer (the song that was immortalised by the filmmaker Cameron Crowe in his fictional rockumentary ‘Almost Famous’). The limited edition 2 disc set includes a bonus DVD featuring 5 previously unreleased live tracks from the highly-acclaimed Las Vegas Red Piano show, plus 5 classic videos spanning the last 4 decades.For the first time ever, Elton’s entire back catalogue of nearly 500 tracks (90 singles and 32 albums) will also be available to download legally from 26th March.Rocket Man’s release is coupled with a landmark for Elton - he will celebrate his 60th birthday while breaking his own record with an unmatched 60th concert at the legendary Madison Square Gardens in New York. No other entertainer has come close to matching this record. The concert highlights will be aired as part of a 90-minute special on ITV1 at 9.00 pm on Thursday 29th March. The full concert will be broadcast digitally by MSN.
