Whitney Houston has returned to the top of the album charts in America, as expected, after debuting I Look To You at number one with 305,000 sales.
The diva scored twice as many sales as second-placed Miley Cyrus, whose The Time Of Our Lives EP was involved in an early release controversy last week.
The seven-track CD, exclusive to Wal-Mart stores in America, was put on sale on 28 August - three days before it was scheduled for release. As a result, the release was counted as a debut on last week's chart, where it debuted at three.
But, taking last week's 62,000 and this week's 153,000 sales, the EP still wouldn't have been able to challenge Houston's comeback - her best-selling debut. I Look To You is the singer's first chart-topper since The Bodyguard soundtrack spent 20 weeks at number one in 1993 - and her fourth number one on the Billboard charts.
Meanwhile, Trey Songz debuts Ready at number three and Insane Clown Posse's Bang! Pow! Boom! enters the new countdown at four. Last week's number one album, Colbie Caillat's Breakthrough, falls to five on the new chart.
