P!nk announced another special guest today, in addition to V V Brown, Hockey and Butch Walker, Toronto’s finest export City & Colour will be gracing the carnival stage in Sunderland for the opening show on 11 June and Reebok Stadium in Bolton on 12 June.
Hailing from Toronto, City and Colour is the brainchild of singer songwriter Dallas Green. Until a few of years ago, Dallas was better known as the dulcet voice of post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. During time off from tours, he assembled a collection of songs he’d been writing and begun a solo project under the moniker, City and Colour. He released his debut ‘Sometimes’ which quickly achieved Platinum success and earned him two Juno Awards in Canada. He has since released his sophomore album ‘Bring Me Your Love’ which has received huge critical acclaim worldwide.
Having recently seen him perform in LA, Pink commented; “I'm a stupid fan! I love these guys! He sounds even better live - if that's possible”
Combined together, The Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour is a blend of the most exciting and eclectic artists in music today and the addition of City & Colour adds another musical dimension to an already phenomenal and diverse line up. Mix in Pink’s special brand of high octane and dazzling performance and this is one tour not to be missed this summer.
